President's Message

Remaining Relevant in a Constantly Changing Society

Thank you for your interest in the Charlotte Chapter of the National Black MBA Association.  We progress this year with a
focus on Relevance as an organization, and providing you the tools to remain relevant in your career.  We are doing this
by concentrating our efforts through each of the NBMBAA five channels:
Education, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Lifestyle, and Career.

We are committed to being on the forefront of the business world to help you, our members gain the necessary tools,
knowledge, and connections to get ahead.   We continue to grow because of your support and commitment not only to
our chapter, but also to your self. Your organization has a history of success because people like you are committed to
seeing it work.  Your Charlotte Chapter Leadership Team welcomes you to be a part of something great, and ask you to
consider how you can benefit from getting actively involved with the chapter.  We value your membership and welcome
your input on your programs, but we are also looking for fresh ideas and energy.  I personally invite you to help shape our
direction by joining our team.

There are many ways to get involved:
·        Volunteer in the community through our many volunteer programs
·        Mentor a student through our Leaders of Tomorrow Program
·        Enhance your personal development through taking a leadership position in the chapter
·        Increase your network through your involvement
·        Remain relevant through building your skillset, and applying this knowledge.

I am excited about the direction of our organization and the Charlotte Chapter.  If you are already a member or
considering membership I look forward to hearing from you.  We are also looking for ways to partner with corporations
and other organizations in the community and look forward to hearing from you as well.  I can be reached directly at
jrogers@nbmbaacharlotte.org, and welcome your inquiries regarding our programming, membership, committees,
scholarships, volunteerism, and corporate partnerships.  I look forward to hearing from you.

What are you doing to ensure you remain relevant?
Take the first step today, join the National Black MBA Association and discover your leadership potential…
