Charlotte Chapter Committees

    MEMBERSHIP
Our chapter continues to grow every year. The Membership committee is a big part of this and is your direct link
to the Chapter.  They are responsible for servicing our existing members as well as generating new members.
This committee also plans and conducts outreaches to our members.

    PROGRAMMING
The programming committee is responsible for planning and running all chapter meetings, seminars and events.
They work closely with other committees and the Chapter leadership team to ensure that we deliver value and
substance to our members and the business community

    PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Public Affairs committee is responsible for promoting the Charlotte Chapter of the National Black MBA
Association in this community. This committee publishes a quarterly newsletter.  They are responsible for press
releases, public service announcements, and overall broad communication of chapter information.

    LEADERS OF TOMORROW (LOT)
Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a High School mentoring program. The mission of the LOT program is to expand
the cadre of African-American students who enter college. The Charlotte Chapter will be  implementing this
program in 2006. Through monthly workshops the program seeks to provide the students with the tools
necessary to be successful in their collegiate endeavors, and teaches basic business etiquette to prepare them
    for the workforce.

    SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship Committee helps to raise funds for local scholarships, sets the criteria for awarding them, and
    distributes monies to our winners.

    SPECIAL EVENTS
This committee works for short period of times to help put on larger events for the chapter.  This is a great
committee to join if you cannot commit to serving in a leadership role for long periods of time.  This committee is
formed as each of these events are being planned

    CORPORATE PARTNER RELATIONS
The Corporate Partner Relations committee develops and maintains relationships with local corporations,
educational institutions. The Charlotte chapter has traditionally enjoyed strong corporate sponsorship.
