The Programming Committee is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing Chapter program events in partnership with Chapter committees, corporate sponsors, and other organizations. Ideal committee members enjoy event planning and collaborating with others. The program draws upon the foundation on which this organization was conceived – to support in career growth and advancement, navigating challenging environments, and sharing experience and insights. We are seeking members who are passionate about students (undergraduate/graduate) and their professional future. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing and sustaining relationships with colleges and universities to provide experience, exposure and opportunity for students; organizing campus events; attending a monthly conference call; developing and sustaining mentoring initiatives; identifying resources that develop and position students for professional success (internships, career, etc.). LOT helps young people learn both how to prepare to take advantage of and create opportunities. Our high school students are exposed to different ways of thinking, various cultures, diverse career fields, numerous colleges, and people who have achieved greatness. In the process, future leaders discover that whatever they want to accomplish in life is within their grasp, as long as they have the discipline, courage, assertiveness, and skills to make it happen.
